Summer means lots of fun things to do in the local area. We have compiled a list of events in Livingston County (and nearby areas). We will keep updating you with new events as the summer rolls along.

Comeback Inn Car Show: June 6th

Come see the beautiful cars at Comeback Inn’s car show going from 5:30 pm to dusk.
Rock The Block: June 7th  
North State Street, Howell, MI
Downtown Howell will be rocking this summer as Howell Main Street Inc. hosts Rock the Block! Presented on June 7th, July 12th, and August 2nd.
The music is free to the public, so bring the whole family for a night of fun in
downtown Howell!
Food Truck Tuesday: June 13th
Downtown Howell 
The 2nd Tuesday of each month, May through September, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm in front of the historic Livingston County Courthouse.
Michigan Challenge Balloonfest: Jun 23rd – Jun 25th
1400 W Grand River Ave, Howell, MI
Come watch Balloon races/competitions, a full carnival, food, art and craft
show, activities, and fireworks at this year's Balloonfest.

Red, White, & Blues Fireworks: June 24th  
305 N. John St, Highland, MI 48357
Fireworks, music, food, kids’ activities, vendors.
The fireworks will be launched at dusk on June 24th from the field at the corner of M-59 and John Street. Come out early to enjoy the food, fun, music, and shopping! Event hours: 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Fenton Artwalk: July 29th
Downtown Fenton
The Fenton Art Walk is a community event celebrating the arts and showcasing local and regional talent with visual art, music, entertainment, technology-integrated art, and children’s activities. It goes all day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
4th of July Fireworks: July, 4th
Kensington Metropark
The Huron-Clinton Metroparks fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement. Tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American
Independence. And you can be part of it. Fun for all ages!
Time: Fireworks display starts at 10:10 pm.
4th of July Fireworks and Freedom Festival: July, 4th
Fenton
This patriotic all-day event is one of the key staples of the Fenton community.
Celebrate the holiday by taking part in or watching the famous Freedom Festival parade, running the Firecracker 5K race, visiting local arts and crafts vendors, enjoying music, a chicken dinner and children’s games, and ending the day taking in the spectacular sights of the fireworks displayed from Silver Lake Park! Starts at 10:00 am.
4th of July Parade: July 4th
Milford
The parade route begins at 11:00 am on Commerce Street and makes its way
down Main Street and ends at Central Park. You can expect to see proud
veterans, color guard, fire trucks, ice cream, marching bands, and more proudly make their way down the route while thousands of onlookers cheer.
Howell Melon Festival: Fri, Aug 18th  – Sun, Aug 20th  
200 E Grand River Ave # 1, Howell, MI
Howell Melon Festival is a 3-day tribute to Howell's agricultural heritage as it serves up the famed Howell melon, a delicious cantaloupe grown only in Howell. showcases products like arts and crafts, food, and lots of fun.
